SLS3 Plantar Fasciitis Sleeves Review

SLS3 was founded in 2004 by two German triathletes who fell in love and were both very passionate about being triathletes.  They started by making a triathlon suit, short, top and compression socks.    After all, that is all that was needed to do a triathlon and they didn’t have much money.  As they have grown, they started to branch out to cover what their customers wanted.

Now each item is custom designed from scratch and tested by them.  If it meets their high standards, then they put the item into production.  Most of their products are made in the USA.  They believe in keeping a small carbon footprint and partnering with smaller businesses.  Today I will be reviewing the SLS3 Plantar Fasciitis Sleeves.

First we should start be discussing what Plantar Fasciitis is.  It is the most common cause of heel pain.  The Plantar Fascia is a flat band of ligament that connects your heel bone to your toes.  Its primary purpose is to support the arch of your foot, which is why Plantar Fasciitis is such a common injury in runners.  When you strain your planter fascia, it tends to get weak, swollen, or inflamed. (1)  The result is a terrible pain on the bottom of your foot or heel that hurts when you stand or walk. For severe cases, a walking boot might be required as part of a recovery plan.

Plantar Fasciitis sleeves are designed to provide compression to relieve the often excruciating pain and discomfort associated with Plantar Fasciitis.  They can also be useful in pain associated with Achilles tendon and stress fracture injuries.  The sleeves offer support and improve circulation, which will help you heal faster and get back to your training.

The SLS3 Plantar Fasciitis Sleeves are comfortable enough to wear all day long, but have enough support and compression to help with foot pain or just speed up your recovery after hard workouts or runs.  The construction and materials are good quality and the price is decent.  You get a pair (2 sleeves) for $19.90 on Amazon.  I don’t have Plantar Fasciitis, so I can’t speak to how well they help with that pain, but I felt the difference when I wore them after my long runs and intervals.  My feet felt fresher the next day, which I was impressed with.  I would assume they would be great for Plantar Fascia pain as well.

Pros:
Comfortable to wear, even for extended amounts of time
Reduces inflammation
Reduces pain and discomfort
Helps stabilize muscle tissue and weak ankles
Great price $19.90 (for a pair)

SLS3 is offering a pair of SLS3 Plantar Fasciitis Sleeves for $19.90 on Amazon.  These are great products, especially for the price.  Proper recovery is key to performing at your best and to reduce the risk of injury.  These Plantar Fasciitis Sleeves do a great job of reducing pain and inflammation and increasing circulation.  The price is great, especially if it can help with one of the most painful running injures, Plantar Fasciitis.  Get a pair and let me know what you think.

Note:  I received this product in exchange for a review.  The review is my personal opinion of the product and I was not required to give a particular opinion of it.  I am not a doctor, so please use all of the products that I review at your own risk.

  1. Have you tried them for biking yet? I get some shin splint pains when I bike and was thinking of getting a pair for biking.

    1. Hi David. I have not tried them while biking, but I think they would work great during a ride. I primarily use them after a run or ride when my ankles are sore or my Achilles tendon is acting up. Thank you for the question and your support.

  2. Thanks for bringing to my attention that tightness in the foot can be a sign of plantar fasciitis. My husband started a new job that requires a lot of standing, and he’s been complaining about having pain in his heel. He has also mentioned that his foot feels tight, so maybe we could visit a professional to see if it’s plantar fasciitis.

    1. I am glad you found out before it got too bad. PF can be extremely painful and can take a long time to heal. Your best bet is to go to a doctor. Good luck.
