Mudroom Backpack Review

Mudroom Backpacks began with a need for a pack that functioned well for adventurers, everyday commuters, and business travelers.  These are the type of people who might need to take their computer, tablet, shoes, a change of clothes, and more with them on their day-to-day adventures.  Many packs out there simply can’t hold all of that gear.

Mudroom Backpacks actually started out in 1996 by creating a unique ski carrier that held both a pair of skis (or snowboard) and boots.  They wanted to make travel to the resort easy and efficient.  They started to design and test several variations of backpacks before launching the Quartible backpack (which is available in 18L and 20L options) in the Fall of 2015.

I got the Quartible 20L and it is designed to help you in your day-to-day life and is not a transition bag for triathlons.  When I go to work, I have a water bottle, shaker cup for my protein, paperwork, recovery rollers, phone chargers, and sometimes a running outfit.  The Quartible works great for all of my gear.

The Quartible has two pockets on either side for water bottles, shaker cups, or coffee thermoses.  There are larger zippered pockets on each side that will fit a pair of shoes.  These pockets are great for putting your water bottles as well.

There are two zippered pockets in the front to store phones, chargers, and other random items.  I keep pens, a small notebook, and checkbook in there.

There is a laptop/tablet pouch that is accessible from the inside of the large pocket or from the outside via a zipper.  I love this feature and would be awesome for traveling through the airport.  The laptop pouch will fit all laptops up to 15.5”.

The laptop sleeve also can be used for a hydration bladder and there is a port on the top of the pack to run the hydration hose.  The Quartible also has loops to secure the hose on the front of the pack.

Mudroom Backpacks designed the Quartible with quality in mind, not cutting corners in any way.  Every feature of the pack is placed in a specific location to serve a purpose, and you can tell when you use it.  The electronics pouch is triple protected by a padded sleeve, floating laptop compartment, and padded back.  The pack sits upright even when fully packed.  The outside of the Quartible is made with 210d Ripstop nylon and a 420d polyester back and bottom panel.  The inside of the pack is also made with the 210d Ripstop nylon.  It can truly take a beating.  There is reflective material on the sides and back of the pack as well, so you can be seen if you are riding home from work in the dark.

Pros:
Extremely durable
Superior construction and materials
Comfortable to wear
Holds tons of gear
Protects and easy-access your electronics
Can house a hydration bladder
Decent price at $110 (20L) $105 (18L)

I love my Mudroom Backpacks Quartible 20L.  It is so comfortable to wear and can hold all of my gear.  It is my murse (man purse).  I take it with me everywhere and have yet to find a single thing to complain about.  You can tell that they put a lot of time and effort into designing this pack and not cutting corners on the materials or manufacturing.  You can pick up the 18L Quartible for $105 or the 20L Quartible for $110 on the Mudroom Backpacks website.  I actually saw it for the first time at the Fleet Feet in Sacramento on J Street.  I love my Quartible and think you will too.  Let me know if you get one and what you think.

  7. It is essential to transport your guns, ammo and accessories from one location to another, especially if your passion for shooting has grown. Your gear should be safe and organized with enough space for your accessories, such as optics and ear protection. Range bags are a great solution. Range bags are designed to transport firearms safely and securely. There are many range bags on the market, so finding the right one for you can be challenging.
