BUFF® Headband and Cap Review

I have short hair, so covering my head is vital in making sure I don’t fry my scalp.  I have hats, visors, beanies, and headbands.  I reviewed a few BUFF® products in the past (click here for my BUFF® Headwear and Merino BUFF® reviews).

So what makes BUFF® products so cool?  Let’s take a look.  The Original BUFF® headwear started the multifunctional headwear revolution.  You can use them in so many different ways, from a headband, to a beanie, to a balaclava, or even a hair tie.  While the Original BUFF® headwear is awesome, I got to test out the UV Headband and Cap.

The UV Headband stays in place to keep the sweat out of your eyes, even in the most extreme workouts.  The soft and breathable Coolmax® fabric does and excellent job at wicking the sweat away and the Polygiene® Active Odor Control keeps it smelling great workout after workout.  The headband will fit most adults and dries quickly.  It is super light too at 0.5 ounces. It blocks an amazing 95% of UV rays to keep your skin safe.

This is my go to piece of headwear right now when I am running in low light situations.  I never feel too warm like I can in some hats and caps.  I got to test the UV Headband Anton, which is part of the Anton Krupicka signature series.  He is one amazing ultra-runner.  You can get any of the UV Headbands for $14.99 on the BUFF® website.

They also have an awesome hat that you can stuff in a pocket when you are not using it. They have the Pack Run Cap in four different colors or the one that I tested which is the Cap Pro Anton which has the same design as the UV Headband Anton, but is reversible and is black on the other side.  The blue side features a design of “The Flatirons” where Anton trains on a regular basis.  It looks really cool.

The Cap Pro Anton is made of Fastwick Extra Plus Fabric with Silberplus® Odor Control.  It is wind resistant, dries quickly, and provides both UV and thermal protection while keeping your head dry.  The bill on the Cap Pro Anton is smaller than most bills (the other caps have a larger bill) and provides your forehead and eyes a little shade.  Anton likes it because he can flip the bill up when he is on trails and wants to have a better view of the ground.

The Pack Run Cap is $31.99 and the Cap Pro Anton is on sale right now for $20.30 (normally $29.00) on the BUFF® website.  I absolutely love this cap.  It is so comfortable, looks awesome and nothing is better than being able to just toss it in my vest pocket when the sun goes down.  I hate trying to figure out what to do with hats when I am ready to ditch them but my run isn’t over yet.

Pros:
Lightweight
Moisture wicking
One size fits most adults
Anti-odor
UV protection
Great prices

BUFF® has so many different styles and patterns to choose from.  I love both my cap and headband and have started using them on every run.  Protecting yourself from the sun is vital and these pieces of gear are a must in my book.  I am looking forward to testing the UV Arm Sleeves soon.  Get yours and let me know what you think.

Note:  I received this product in exchange for a review.  The review is my personal opinion of the product and I was not required to give a particular opinion of it.  I am not a doctor, so please use all of the products that I review at your own risk.
